Challenges
CyberLink U Messenger App is a cutting-edge communication tool specifically designed for businesses, ensuring top-notch data security and confidentiality provided by a Taiwan-based software company. Unlike other chat applications, U Messenger eliminates any data security concerns, giving you peace of mind while communicating.
Experience the enhanced photo-sharing feature, allowing you to apply image enhancements and creative filters, making every picture visually captivating. The app also offers group creation for discussion topics, polls, surveys, and even photo retrieval, enabling seamless collaboration across smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
U Messenger is a powerful application that emphasizes security and confidentiality for instant communication within and outside enterprises. While its chat functionality is on par with other messaging apps, it lacks some social chat elements such as stickers and rich backgrounds. With its focus on internal enterprise communication, U Messenger presents a more professional image but may not be as lively as other social-oriented chat apps. Its interface also appears somewhat rigid, lacking the fun and interactivity seen in other chat platforms, which has limited its market penetration.
To address these issues, we conducted research and discussions on the features of enterprise and social communication. While maintaining its focus on enterprise communication, we have enhanced the app's video conferencing capabilities for external business needs, supporting video conferences from one-on-one to a maximum of 200 participants with up to 12 video feeds displayed at once. Additionally, we have realized the importance of including stickers commonly used in social chats and regularly adding more sharing features, as these elements also contribute to the progress of external business engagements. Our goal is to enhance the user experience for enterprise users and increase their engagement levels.

Duty
• Planned and discussed user flow, information architecture
and function map of every new feature with PM and RD
according to the spec.
• Defined user interface guidelines, visual style and work with
designers to standardize UI style guides.

U Messenger provides a group forum feature for internal group discussions within companies. In this feature, users within the group can create and post topics for in-depth discussions, sharing opinions, and conducting polls. The discussion records are also archived, offering a convenient channel for interaction and communication within the group. This functionality enables group members to collaborate more effectively and collectively work towards the company's objectives.

U Messenger not only offers chat room functionality but also strengthens video conferencing support, enabling seamless cross-platform meetings on mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
